The lemon verbena Andes, called Huamanseco in the Indian language, comes from our biological IEPLAM project in Peru. The essential oils from Peru have captured the mountain air of the heights and are characterized by their particular clarity and freshness. This lemon verbena Andean organic essential oil is produced exclusively in the Valle Sagrado de los Incasthe sacred Inca valley, where it can be found at an altitude of between 2700 and 2900 meters.
The lemon shrub (Aloysia citrodora), also lemon fragrance shrub, lemon verbena or fragrant verbena is a species of the verbena family (Verbenaceae). The lemon bush grows as a perennial deciduous shrub. Actually native to South America, lemon verbena now also grows in the Mediterranean and North Africa. Sie reaches heights of growth of up to 2 meters in Europe’s temperate climates.
