Ylang-Ylang belongs to the annon family ( Cananga odorata ) and grows very quickly. As an evergreen tree, it grows over 20m high. in the Cultivation, however, pruned to a height of 2-3 meters. The distillation of the flowers takes up to 20 hours, the finest quality emerges after 2-3 hours and is known as Ylang extra supérieur. Origin: Indonesia and the Philippines – today also Madagascar, Haiti, Reunion, Sumatra. Ylang ylang extra organic is extracted from the flowers.

Picked daily, the flowers are quickly processed.

Distillation produces two types of essential oil. After about two hours you get the essential oil Ylang-Ylang extra, a pure floral scent, sweet and exotic. Very popular in perfume production because of the increased ESTER content.
