The trunk diameter reaches over 30 (60) centimeters. The brownish to grayish bark is cracked to furrowed with age and sometimes flakes off. Pepper pink organic essential oil from Farfalla comes from Madagascar. The scent is fresh, spicy and peppery. The essential oil has restorative, tonic and warming properties. Used in room fragrancing, it is suitable to purify the atmosphere of the room. It is suitable as an additive for stimulating massages.

The fruits of this Brazilian spice plant are used as a spice under the name “pink pepper”, “rosé pepper” or “pink berries”, but they are not real pepper, but are added to colored pepper (black, white and green) for visual reasons instead of the rare red pepper. The leaves were used in various indigenous healing rituals associated with cleansing, purification and sanctification of peaceful times.
