Plant family: Mint family (Lamiaceae). Nanaminze is a perennial herbaceous plant native to the Mediterranean and North Africa. Like the other representatives of the mint family, the nano mint has strongly scented leaves.
The name mint goes back to a Greek legend. The god Pluto, ruler of the underworld, is said to have fallen passionately in love with the beautiful nymph Mentha. His jealous wife Persephone trampled the beautiful woman into the ground. In order to save her, he transformed her into a fragrant, healing plant, the mint mentha.
But if one has the powers and kinds and names of the mint /
could call them all and all, so he would have to also /
know how many fish swim in the Red Sea,
or how many sparks Vulcanus, the melting god from Lemnos, /
sends up into the air from the huge meals of the Aetna. ”
