The Green cardamom ( Elettaria cardamomum) is a type of plant in the ginger family (Zingiberaceae). It is a perennial herbaceous plant and usually grows 2 to 3 meters high, sometimes up to 5.5 meters. The original homeland is probably South India, Sri Lanka, Iraq and Thailand. Today also in South America, Africa and Vietnam. Primavera Kardamon bio oil comes from Sri Lanka. It grows wild and also in plantations, it likes moist soils and thrives particularly well at heights between 600 and 1500 m.

Cardamom organic

Is a herb from which the cardamom seeds are mainly used in Asian and Arabic cuisine. They are a main component of Indian masalas from masala chai. The Ayurvedic confectionery Laddu, which is made from ghee butter, also contains cardamom. In European cuisine, cardamom is mainly used in Christmas cookies such as gingerbread and speculoos.

But cardamom also has healing properties. Only the seeds freed from the capsule shell are used for medicinal purposes and have been part of Asian medicinal herbs for centuries. Cardamom was used medicinally in Europe in the Middle Ages for all sorts of diseases, such as epilepsy, cramps, paralysis and rheumatic stiffness of the joints.

Tip for fragrance lamp or diffuser: give
2 drops of orange
1 drop myrtle
2 drops of cardamom seeds
