IN THE MODERN

Then came Rene-Maurice Gattefosseb, the English bio-chemist Marguerite Maury and the founder of osmotherapy Prof. Paolo Rovesti. The scientific research of essential oils and aromatherapy did not begin until the 19th century. The father of modern “aromatherapy” is the French chemist and perfumer Rene-Maurice Gattefosse.
